Privacy Policy

This policy ("Privacy Policy") is applicable to Ghar-lelo.com and all its subsidiaries and/or branch offices in India. It provides the practices and policies applicable to Ghar-lelo (including its employees, interns, contractors, consultants, clients, customers, or any other party directly or indirectly engaged for the purpose of business or otherwise) for handling or dealing with Personal Information, including Sensitive Personal Data or Information (as defined below) that is lawfully collected by Ghar-lelo.com, hereby referred to as “Ghar-lelo.” We collect personal data of our employees, potential employees, clients, suppliers, business contacts, shareholders, and website users or any other individuals or entities wherever required for business purposes or otherwise.

Commitment to Privacy

Ghar-lelo attaches great importance to your right to privacy and the protection of your personal data. We want you to feel secure that when you deal with Ghar-lelo, your personal data are in good hands. Ghar-lelo protects your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and our data privacy policies. In addition, Ghar-lelo maintains the appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and/or against accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access, or accidental or unlawful destruction of or damage thereto.

General Definitions

Reference to “you” or “your” in this Privacy Policy refers to any natural person (including the employees of Ghar-lelo) who provides to Ghar-lelo any information referred to in Appendix 1 of this document.

“Act” shall mean the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rules thereunder as amended from time to time.

“Information” shall mean and include Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Data and Information as may be collected by Ghar-lelo.

“Personal Information (PI)” shall have the same meaning as under Rule 2 (i) of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 as amended from time to time. For ease of reference, Rule 2 (i) of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 is reproduced under Appendix 1.

“Rules” shall mean the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 as amended from time to time.

“Registered User” shall mean such user whose registration is accepted by Ghar-lelo.

“Sensitive Personal Data and Information (SPDI)” shall mean and include information under Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 as amended from time to time. For ease of reference, Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 is reproduced under Schedule 1.

All words and expressions used and not defined in this document but defined in the Act or the Rules shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act or the Rules.

Collection of Information

You may use Ghar-lelo’s website to access Information, learn about its products and services, read publications, and check career opportunities etc., without providing any PI/SPDI. Ghar-lelo may collect and process PI/SPDI provided by you in the following forms:

  • Information required for registration, particularly for services available only to Registered Users (refer Appendix 1).
  • Information provided directly via email or electronic communication.
  • Information shared over the telephone, which may be recorded.
  • Information provided in physical form via post, courier, or in person.
  • PI/SPDI collected from employees (refer Appendix 2), suppliers, clients, prospects, or onsite consultants.

You will at all times have the option of not providing Ghar-lelo with PI/SPDI that Ghar-lelo seeks to collect. Even after providing PI/SPDI, you may access, modify, rectify, or withdraw your consent by contacting Ghar-lelo at info@Ghar-lelo.com or visiting www.Ghar-lelo.com.

Use of Information Collected

Any information collected will be used in connection with the relevant purpose as communicated by Ghar-lelo via verbal or written methods. Providers of information availing any services from Ghar-lelo shall be deemed to have consented to the use of such information as described in this policy. We may use platforms such as SMS, Voice, Email, WhatsApp, and others to reach out to you. Employees, suppliers, clients, prospects, or consultants shall be advised about the purpose for which any Information is collected at the time of such collection.

Sharing of Information

Where PI/SPDI is required to be shared due to any contractual obligation, Ghar-lelo shall share such PI/SPDI only in accordance with your consent. To the extent necessary to provide the requested Services or as required under applicable law, we may transfer personal data with individuals or third parties in connection with a (potential) corporate or commercial transaction, ensuring adequate protection as required by relevant data privacy laws.

Ghar-lelo may also transfer your personal data to any of its global affiliates/partners:

  • Employees or Consultants (including auditors, authorized vendors) on a 'need to know' basis under a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  • Governmental authorities, as permitted or required by law.
  • Legal proceedings: In the event Ghar-lelo is required to respond to subpoenas or court orders, your PI/SPDI may be disclosed.

Security of Information

Ghar-lelo strives to ensure the security, integrity, and privacy of your PI/SPDI. Stringent security measures (physical, electronic, and managerial) are in place to protect against loss, misuse, and alteration of the PI/SPDI under our control. Our servers are accessible only to authorized personnel, and your Information is shared strictly on a 'need to know' basis. Ghar-lelo periodically assesses, audits, and updates its information security protocols to achieve the highest standards.

Employees/Relevant Individuals Obligations & Consequences of Violations

Every Ghar-lelo Employee/Relevant Individual must comply with applicable data privacy laws and specific privacy practices. They should seek advice in case of any ambiguity while handling Personal Data and ensure strict adherence to security policies.

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in disciplinary actions, including potential dismissal or termination.

Retention and Revocation of Information

Ghar-lelo retains certain Personal Data of individuals when they cease to be employed or engaged. This data may be required for legal and business purposes. We retain your personal data only as long as necessary, with specific records management policies in place. Once data is no longer required, it will be securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with the law.

Inquiries/Notification of Changes for Employees

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request rectification of your personal data.
  • Object to the processing of your personal data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data.
  • Request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • Request portability of your personal data.

Appendix 1

Rule 2 (i): “Personal information" means any information that relates to a natural person capable of identifying such person.

Rule 3: Sensitive personal data or information includes:

  • Password;
  • Financial information;
  • Health condition;
  • Sexual orientation;
  • Medical records;
  • Biometric information;
  • Other relevant details provided to a body corporate.
